Gunner is a German Shepherd Dog that currently specializes in patrol based operations including searching, tracking, article searches, handler protection and tactical operations (SKIDDS). His partner and handler is Officer Jared Hebert. Officer Hebert is a decorated veteran of the United Stated Marine Corps. He began his law enforcement career with the Los Angeles Police Department and transferred to the Redding Police Department in 2011. He was selected as a canine handler in 2015. Gunner is his second canine partner.
